Tulamben Dive

The transfer from our base in Padangbai to Tulamben by car takes about 60-90 minutes. During this trip you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and views and it is a good start to meet you fellow divers. There are many dives sites in and around Tulamben, such as the famous ship wrech of the USAT Liberty, Coral Garden, Drop Off, Batu Kelebit and Seraya Secret. 

The type of the site :

Coral reef. The cargo ship of the USAT Liberty was designed, build and used in WO I as animal transport. During WO II the Liberty was torpedoed on 11 January 1942 by the Japanese and beached on Bali. In 1963 the volcanic eruption of Bali's biggest montaint, Mount Agung, moved the ship off the beach into the water. The Liberty is in length 120 mtr. From the shore to the wreck is only 15-20 mtr. The depth from top to bottom is 3-30 mtr.

The fish we can see  :

Big and macro. ( giant groupers, scorpion fish,stone fish,frog fish, many kind of nudibranches, schooling big eye travelly, giant jack fish barracuda, even mola-mola/sun fish, hurley quin crab, pygmy sea horses, moray eels,ribbon eels, bumphead parrot fish, mimic octopus ,garden eels and more others.

The current very mild, a easy dive site,very good for biginners. The visibility is exelent, for photographers very good.
